Thrifting Global is operated by [Registered company name to be confirmed] ([CIPC registration number to be confirmed]), [Business address to be confirmed], South Africa. Using the site means you accept these terms.

We list second-hand, charity, vintage, antique and related shops so people can find them. We are a directory: we do not own, operate, endorse or inspect the shops listed, and we are not party to anything that happens between you and a shop.

Most listings are imported from OpenStreetMap, a public database maintained by volunteers. Details such as addresses, opening hours and phone numbers may be out of date or wrong, and some shops may have closed. We show only what the source data contains and say “not listed” rather than guessing — but we cannot guarantee accuracy.

Please check with a shop before travelling to it. We are not responsible for a wasted trip.

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give accurate details, and tell us if you think someone else has access. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, misrepresent ownership of a shop, or break these terms.

Only claim a shop you own or are authorised to represent. Claims are reviewed by hand, and we may ask for proof, decline a claim, or reverse one later. Claiming a listing does not transfer any ownership of the listing or the site to you.

You are responsible for what you publish on a listing, and you confirm you have the right to publish it — including photographs. Don't post anything misleading, unlawful, offensive, or that infringes someone else's rights. You keep ownership of your content and grant us a licence to display it on the service. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Alerts are sent only about shops you follow, or shops near your saved location if you turn that on. You can change or switch them off at any time in your account.

Browsing, searching and saving shops are free. If paid features are introduced, the price and billing period will be shown before you pay, and payment will be handled by a licensed payment provider. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. South African consumers keep all rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, which these terms do not limit.

Listing data comes in part from OpenStreetMap contributors and is licensed under the Open Database Licence (ODbL); city and country names are derived from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). You may not scrape or bulk-copy the site, resell the data, or use it to build a competing directory.

We aim to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update these terms and will revise the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. See also our privacy policy.
